All levels of experience welcome!
Up and coming classes will be held as follows.
Outdoor classes on Ealing Common, London (£24 per couple or £20 if booked 2 weeks in advance)

Indoor classes at Brunel University (Uxbridge Campus) (£30 per couple or £25 if booked 2 weeks in advance)
- Class C Sunday 29 October, 2000
- Class D Sunday 3 December, 2000
A discount of £5 applies if you book three or more classes together (includes baby aerials classes).
Watch this space for further dates.
- All classes start at 1pm prompt with a comprehensive warm-up. This is important
(and a lot of fun) so aim to arrive between 12:30 and 12:45.
- We currently run a series of 7 airsteps classes, each with a new set of moves to learn.
The classes are not in a sequence of progressive difficulty.
They are labelled A to G to help you know which classes you have done.
- The classes concentrate on the aerials the whole way through. Some attention will be given
to dancing in and out of the moves but the emphasis is on the moves themselves and all the
techniques used to make them as easy as possible.
- We will use one or two of the baby aerials as an introduction and will build towards the
more spectacular ones requiring more confidence. It helps for the girl to trust her partner
as confidence is required to really go for it.
- You will work in teams with another couple to protect each other while the moves are being
practised. At any key stage in a move we will come around to see that everyone's technique and
position is OK so far, allowing us to correct any individual faults.
- There will be some time to try the moves to music, and if there is time left at the end,
those who want to can make up a little routine to perform.
- Not everyone gets every move first time around but many come back to learn the same moves
again. Use the class labels to help you pick the classes to repeat or avoid repeating.
- Classes run for three and a half hours and contain some fairly dynamic moves requiring
plenty of energy. There will be a 15 minute break, so bring drinks and snacks for an
energy boost.
- There are no rules about who takes part in the classes. Energy and enthusiasm are far
more important than airsteps experience or dancing ability.
- We aim to get through a lot of material as safely as possible. We use mats and spotters
where necessary, and, most importantly, we do a comprehensive warm up starting promptly, so be on time!
- Despite all safety precautions taken, accidents can happen. You
take part in the classes at your own risk! All participants must sign a disclaimer before each class.
- Light clothing, T-shirts, jogging pants, leggings. No
belts, jewellery or watches (for your and your partner's safety).
- Sports shoes with shock absorption, for jumping around in, rather than for dancing
(girls may find dance shoes useful for one or two of the moves).
- Bras that don’t fall off (women only), and for the men a cricket box (if your partner’s
a bit unpredictable).

The Brunel classes are held at Brunels Uxbridge campus in the Sports Centre.
To get to the Sports Centre it is better to access the campus via the
back entrance in Kingston Lane, rather than the main entrance in Cleveland Road. For
location maps and instructions on how to get there, check Brunel’s 2-page
Uxbridge
Campus Access Map (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader). If you haven’t got access to
Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can still view Brunels
Access
to Uxbridge Campus web page, but it is less clear from this how to get to the Kingston Lane
entrance.
